The morning was overcast with heavy looking clouds this day at Maroon Lake, near Aspen CO. I wasn’t sure if I would be able to get any good images at all, but I hiked up the trail above the lake and, sure enough, the sky soon began to open up, and the Maroon Bells mountains emerged from the clouds in a stunning display of light and shadow.
